Do you shoot at any location?
Yes. However, you may incur a travel fee to your location of choice.
Do you edit the photos?
Yes, we edit all the photo's we send to our clients. Please note, retouching is NOT included. That comes at an extra cost (as it takes more time). Please see explanation explaining the difference at the end of FAQs
Do you shoot in a studio?
I do shoot in studios but not my own. A studio would have to be rented which the client would source, or I can source one and the client will be liable for the costs.
If you shoot more than the said amount, what happens?
If you have selected a package or promo that sets a limit on images received, the rest can be purchased at an extra cost.
If we are late to a shoot what happens?
I will shoot for the remainder of the time. I do state on my invoice that paying for more time that needed is available. Time not used will be refunded. Otherwise on the day extra time can be purchased at an inflated amount IF we have availability.
Do you supply props?
Not as yet. You are welcome to bring your own, but please do enquire with us though if we may have props xo
Can we do our own backdrop?
Absolutely. But for the best outcome, please, really... PLEASE message us so we can work out the best way to go about it, Trust me. Better yet, follow me on Tik Tok, I speak about this and much more.
Can we share our photos on social media?
Go for it! Tag us tho??
Can we add filters on our photos.
This would give me a couple grey hairs. Please don't... But if you simply can't help yourself, please don't tag me as your filter would misrepresent my style and therefore my brand. Thanks. I appreciate you xo
Can we use our images for business or marketing?
Only if you booked the type of shoot that allows for perpetual licensing.
What is a perpetual license?
This means you want to own the rights to use your photos without any limitations or restrictions, and without paying you any royalties or fees.
What happens if we aren't happy with our photos?
Please contact me so we can discuss. But even better yet, before our shoot, let's go over all our expectations so no one is bummed.
Can we rebook our shoot if we can't make it?
Sure! However, we allow one free postponement, then we charge a postponement fee.
Can we cancel our shoot?
Yes, but then you forfeit your booking fee.
Can we change our outfits?
Yeah! But remember, this will take away from our actual shooting time. If you're cool with that then sure.
How will we get our photos?
Via a private online gallery. For weddings, a USB packaging.
When do I get my photos?
Usually within 14-business days. Could be sooner, all depends on how packed my schedule is. Wedding however take longer.
What if I have lost my photos, do you keep them and can we ask you to resend?
We don't store shoots as space is limited and any space I have I pay for (cries in ZAR). Also, there is no way we are choosing who's shoots to keep when ALL our clients are precious to us. HOWEVER, if we do have some photo's that we chose to keep, you are welcome to purchase these from us.
If we don't show up for our shoot, can we reschedule?
No shows forfeit the entirety of the shoot and the payment. You would have to purchase another shoot altogether. So please manage your dates and time well so we don't have to reach this level of awkwardness. THANKS!
How does travel/travel fee work?
We charge a separate travel fee to and from your location of choice. This travel time (to your desired location) is not included in your booked time. The time you booked starts when we start shooting at the agreed time, at the agreed location. However, if we have to shoot at more than one location, a travel fee will be charged per location and time used travelling from location 1 to location 2 will be part and parcel of your time booked.
Shooting at place that charges entry.
If your desired location has an entry fee or a toll gate or any sort of extra payment, this is billed to the client, per photographer (as sometimes we are 2)
In photography, editing and retouching are related but distinct processes:
1. Editing refers to the overall process of selecting, adjusting, and refining photos. This includes:
Cropping and straightening
Color correction (white balance, saturation, contrast)
Exposure adjustments
Basic sharpening and noise reduction
Applying presets or filters
Editing is typically done in bulk and focuses on improving the general look of a batch of images.
2. Retouching is a more detailed, manual process that enhances specific elements of a photo. It includes:
Skin smoothing and blemish removal
Removing distractions (like stray hairs or objects)
Enhancing eyes, teeth, or facial features
High-end beauty or fashion retouching
Compositing or background changes
Retouching is often done on select images that require a polished, professional look, such as portraits or product photography.
In short, editing is about overall improvements, while retouching is a fine-tuned, detailed process for perfecting specific aspects of an image.
